Mitch Landrieu(born 1960) is the outgoing mayor of his native New Orleans, Louisiana. He was formerly his state's lieutenant governor.[1] He is a member of the Democrat Landrieu family. His father, Maurice Edwin Landrieu, known as Moon Landrieu, was also the mayor of New Orleans and a member of the Cabinet of U.S. President Jimmy Carter. His sister, Mary Landrieu, is a former Louisiana state representative and state treasurer and was a member of the United States Senate from 1997 to 2015.
