If there is a Conservapedia article that completely supports the idea of a parodist given free reign to make conservatives look ridiculous it is this one. In an article almost completely devoid of references for nonsensical claims, the main author spouts the most inane nonsense. Even our national leaders are falling for the idea Common Core is a federal program. I’m willing to bet Sen. Cruz only read the first sentence before posting this tweet about repealing a non-existent federal law. [1] [2]

- National Governors Association (NGA) and the Council of Chief State School Officers developed Common Core, not the Feds. [3] Anyone saying otherwise is either lying, miss-informed, or whatever…

- Kentucky is an early adopter of the standards and they achieved promising results. [4]

Common Core may have faults, but please try not to make conservatives look foolish by writing a contemptible article that insults our intelligence. --RobinBast 20:04, 17 March 2015 (EDT)

Common Core does have a lot of faults, but when it comes down to basics, it's an attempt to have kids dumbed-down further by a liberal-imposed curriculum. We've already got a high drop-out rate, violence in schools, teachers "playing" with students, and a system meant to set back the smart kids because it makes the dumb kids feel better. And the basic function of any school is to build kids up, not tear them down. Who's in control of the public school system? A bunch of liberals. They believe that 1+5=17, provided you get 10 out of the first number. This is Common Core in reality[5], and if anything is a parody, this is it. Karajou 20:20, 17 March 2015 (EDT)
The NGA is liberal? Wow! And the wild accusations continue. Kentucky’s drop-out rate is decreasing, time will tell with other states. Setting back smart kids? The American public school system is not one huge entity, the idea someone could believe such a concept exists here is quite, well, simplistic. Any chance the article could be improved with referenced factual information?--RobinBast 20:39, 17 March 2015 (EDT)
