Bilbo Baggins was the main character in The Hobbit, and along with his kinsman Frodo Baggins, was one of the two most famous hobbits of J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth world. Of all the creatures that ever wielded the One Ring, he was the first ever to give it up voluntarily.
Biography
Bilbo was a Hobbit from the Shire. He was born in T.A. 2890 as the only child of Bungo Baggins and Belladonna Took. Bilbo lived in the smial Bag End, which had been built by his father, in the village Hobbiton in the Shire.
