Earl Pomeroy, born September 2, 1952 (age 74), is a Democratic Congressman from North Dakota, the only Representative from the state. He was first elected to the United States House of Representatives in 1992, and will run for reelection in 2008. Pomeroy has voted with the Democratic Party 94.2% of the time during throughout the current Congress [1].
In August of 2007, Pomeroy called President George W. Bush a “clown,”and stated that he "can’t stand him" [2]. After obtaining a degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law, Pereroy worked in his private practice. From 1981-1985 he served as member of the North Dakota state house of representatives.
