This list is useless for American readers. We cannot locate [[Hirohito]] by his official title/name. Please include a column for the Western term used for each emperor. :Ed, I have made the changes to the modern Emperors [[Hirohito]] and [[Akihito]] as requested. I do not feel it necessary to change the others, prior to Emperor Meiji, as they would have been known only by their posthumous names, even to Westerners. was ever known as Emperor Mutsuhito, even outside of Japan. Ed, I have made the changes to the modern Emperors Hirohito and Akihito as requested. I do not feel it necessary to change the others, prior to Emperor Meiji, as they would have been known only by their posthumous names, even to Westerners. was ever known as Emperor Mutsuhito, even outside of Japan.
