[[User:Horace]] asked me "I am having trouble uploading an image file. Are you able to help?" I replied that I had no idea... that my own experience is that image uploading is very flaky, I get errors about 2/3 of the time. What I usually do is to keep making random changes in the local filename, and usually I succeed in uploading eventually. Whether changing the name actually helps, I have no idea.

Hi, I'm Ed Poor from Wikipedia. While I was there, I got the development team to make a software change, so that blocked users could still post on their own user talk page. This made it easier for them to appeal their blocks. Which made a "block" a bit less traumatic and less of a "heavy club".

I support most of the changes recently made to differentiate this wiki from others...  However, I noticed that the accesskeys just got removed (eg. alt-j &rArr; Special:Whatlinkshere, alt-k &rArr; Special:Recentchangeslinked, alt-x &rArr; Special:Random, etc). I suppose most people don't rely on these, but I personally use them quite frequently and find it a little distressing to have them missing.  Is there any chance they might be able to be restored, since they're unobtrusive and don't contribute much to a site's identity?  --[[User:Interiot|Interiot]] 20:44, 18 March 2007 (EDT)

On Wikipedia, when a new user account is created, this shows up on the "recent changes" list. Is there a way to allow this to happen here?
