One major difference will be the inclusion of pay-per-click ad services. Effects on Conservapedia

Judging how Google continues to usurp conservative/opposing viewpoints, no new negative consequences as a result. On a positive note, Google's billion dollar R&D may spur great new tools, adopted by all Wiki's for the better.

Effects on Wikipedia

Google, the 1000 pound gorilla in the room, will quickly equal Wikipedia's giant offerings. With that, members will switch and contribute to Google. Wikipedia's collaboration with Google has yielded top placement, over a million pages strong, within Google's search service. That is also expected to diminish with Knol growth.
