/* The Beatles */ new section
Putin's war is a failure as the casualty rate is high, but the territory gained is at a glacial WWI like speed. His economy is crumbling. The Russian people are frustrated, but it is hard for them to publicly protest. Polls are showing his popularity is waning. Russia has a history of "turncoating" once people in power fail so Putin is nervous. Like the former communists in power in the Soviet Union claimed they always hated communism once communism fell ([https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zg_w1ZT63J8 Russia's EPIC Turncoating Showdown Begins!]). I had a very tough English professor who was an atheist. Our first day of class, he said, "How many people in the class go to church once a week?" which was followed by the question, "How many people go to church twice a week?". At the time, I attended church twice a week so I raised my hand for the latter question. So at that point, I was "on his radar".

One day he said something like, "User: Conservative, what do you think about the Beatles?" because he knew I was a zealous Christian. He wanted my popularity to plunge among my classmates. And I didn't tell him that I threw out all my rock albums after becoming a Christian - including my Beatles albums. Instead, I deftly replied, "I really don't think about the Beatles" and I smiled. That was a very dismissive reply! [[User:Conservative|Conservative]] ([[User talk:Conservative|talk]]) 13:21, July 11, 2025 (EDT)
