Orson Scott Card (born August 24, 1951) is an American author, best known for his novel science-fiction series Ender's Game and its many sequels. The novel Ender's Game and its sequel Speaker for the Dead were both awarded the Hugo Award and the Nebula Award. He is a follower of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and his books usually tend to religious themes.
While Card is a Democrat,[1] he is a conservative one and advocates for the outlawing of homosexuality[2] and has written against Barack Hussein Obama's attempts to undermine American republicanism.[3]
His most recent work is the book "Empire," focusing on a possible civil war between the Left and the Right.
