The '''Nashville Predators''' are a [[hockey]] team based in [[Nashville]], [[Tennessee]]. They are members of the Central Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League ([[NHL]]). The Predators were founded in 1998, although they have not gained a large following(even after trading for Mike Fisher, better known as the husband of country superstar [[Carrie Underwood]]). The Predators were sold in late 2007 to a group of local merchants and residents of Nashville, after the sale of the team to Canadian [[Jim Balsillie]], the co-CEO of [[Research in Motion]] (RIM) fell through.
