Right, in terms, of politics, is a term used to describe people who are socially and economically conservative. The term has slightly different meanings in Europe and the United States. In Europe the left/right dicotomy is used to discuss economics only. Hitler on an economic scale, was not an extreme right wingers (laissez faire capitalism) but he was an extreme authoritarian (the state is more important then the individual). Also Ron Paul, a libertarian candidate is fairly right wing on economics but is moderate socially while Bush is both right wing and authoritarian. Fidel Castro would be an authoritarian leftist, while leftists like Ralph Nader and Noam Chomsky would be liberal leftists.
