Juche is the official state religion or ideology of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, better known as North Korea.[1] The late North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il had a strong cult of personality, and North Korean children were taught to revere him from a young age. For instance, the first phrase North Korean children were supposed to learn from their parents is "Thank you, Father Kim Il Sung”. The Juche ideology is the political program of the Workers' Party of Korea.
