Alexander Rosenberg (born 1946) is an American philosopher, atheist, and author. He holds the chair of the department of philosophy at Duke University in North Carolina. In 2011, Rosenberg published a book entitled, The Atheist's Guide to Reality in which he argues that atheists should not 'waste' their time debating Christians and other theists, but rather, should dedicate their time to learning about the universe and nature. Despite this, Rosenberg is scheduled to participate in a debate with christian philosopher William Lane Craig at Purdue University in early 2013.
