Vernon Jones is a former Georgia Democrat state representative and supporter of President Donald Trump. Jones became a Republican in 2020. In 2021 Jones announced his intention to challenge corrupt RINO incumbent Georgia governor Brian Kemp in the 2022 Georgia primaries.[1]

Jones was the focus of Democrat racist attacks for endorsing President Trump in the 2020 presidential election. Jones said of the institutional racism and bigotry within the Democratic party:

I can show them and reveal where the true bigotry is. You know, they brag about being a party of openness and a big tent, but not so for independent thinking Black men and women with conservative leanings. We're not wanted. But you know what? Ironically, when we have white Democrats with conservative leanings, they're not called the same like I'm called, an outcast, an embarrassment to the party, I need to leave. And Congressman Jim Marshall and John Barrow get a free pass. But an African American to think independently, that's the most terrifying thought for any liberal right now.

For people like me to be independent thinkers, when white Democrats vote Republican, their elevated as Reagan Democrats. It's a good thing. But when African Americans do that and exercise their free thinking, all of a sudden 'you don't belong in the party, you're an embarrassment, you don't represent our values,' and that's unfortunate. So I want to continue to pull that sheet off of them and expose them....

We have to support law enforcement officers, those who are the bad apples, we know what to do with them. Secondly, when you started talking about tearing down monuments, if you tear down a monument of Thomas Jefferson today, somebody's gonna want to tear down the monument of Martin Luther King tomorrow....We give literally millions of dollars to universities and nonprofit groups to go out and dig, dig and dig and pull up symbols and statues of the past so we can learn about it. But here we are in 2020 with tearing them down. What are kids gonna know about come 2030 when those statues are gone?

...Clearly, Democrats have not come out and denounced a lot of these writers and protesters who were hiding behind Black Lives Matter. I'm beginning to wonder, Do black lives matter to Black Lives Matter?

Jones was referring to 8 year old Secoriea Turner, a little Black girl murdered by Black Lives Matter protesters days earlier. Jones continued:

There's so many different groups from Antifa to others, being funded by George Soros, and these left wing groups really want to get rid of religion, too. But they have infiltrated Black Lives Matter, and then when you look at the real purpose of Black Lives Matter is to push a transgender agenda. Now that's what they want to do. Fine. I have no problem with that. But all lives should matter. Clearly, black lives should be valued just as much as any life. Look at what is happening, a white police officer kills a black person, then there's massive demonstrations and rioting. But what about when blacks kill blacks, like a little eight year old girl? That was not a police officer. What about him in St. Louis when that former police chief, who was doing his job was gunned down on the streets of St. Louis? Not by white officers. Where was the outrage from Black Lives Matter? Chicago last weekend, some 14 people killed, including a three year old, and a 13 year old this past week and Philadelphia 87 shootings and about 14 deaths on a Saturday night? This is not President Trump's fault. There's an issue at the local level to where local leadership is not doing what they need to do.

Vernon Jones also spoke at the 2020 Republican National Convention.
