Talk:United States Navy

Return to "United States Navy" page.

I'm getting this stuff from my old DEP book; it's not exactly cite-able, but there's got to be some links out there for naval history. Navy Nuke 19:21, 15 March 2007 (EDT)

Try the Blue Jacket's Manual; official sources from the Navy and Naval Historical Center. I'll supply what I can. Karajou 16:30, 24 March 2007 (EDT)

Table

A table of facts was added; they can be edited as the numbers change every year. I'd probably use this example for the other branches of the military when they are added to this website. Karajou 18:41, 24 March 2007 (EDT)

Out of curiosity, how about subsequent commands of military branches? I'm going to create a Military Sealift Command article (and as such, probably an Air Mobility Command one as well), would those tables be able to apply there as well? Hengineer 09:06, 25 April 2007 (EDT)
The tables can be copied and converted very easily. Use them to the fullest extent possible. Karajou 23:42, 25 April 2007 (EDT)

35,000 Warships! How the U.S. Navy could Win a War

Colonel Douglas MacGregor said about China in the video Why China's Navy is a JOKE: "China has huge problems just holding itself together. So I think we should set China aside and understand that."Why China's Navy is a JOKE See: [[Essay:Skepticism about China remaining a global power|Skepticism about China remaining a global power]]So I think we should set China aside and understand that."[1] See: [[Essay:Skepticism about China remaining a global power|Skepticism about China remaining a global power]]

I doubt that a China that "has huge problems just holding itself together" will be able to afford such a thing - especially long term. Conservative (talk) 11:05, October 3, 2023 (EDT)
