Talk:Electrical resistance

Return to "Electrical resistance" page.

Another formula (which I remember via the mnemonic "Victory In RhodeIsland") is:

V = R * I

Is this true, or even useful? --Ed Poor Talk 07:37, 9 October 2007 (EDT)

  • V=IR
  • I=V/R
  • R=V/I

Seriously, that is NOT that complicated to do..--KimSell 12:08, 14 July 2008 (EDT)

Note that this formula only applies for simple DC circuits. When working with AC, things get a lot more complicated because I and V may not be in phase. Calculus is involved. - NewCrusader
