Gulik, you are part of the problem. When you say let's recognize the enemy we have now. That's a nice saying yet Democrats don't want to think about the enemy. They want to believe the enemy is the USA. The missle defense shield is not designed to strike 2,000 missle launches from Russia. It is designed against the threat of rogue nations. We have military trucks that can absord the impact of IEDs and RPGs. :There's exactly ONE nation with the necessary combination of "nuclear missiles" and "insane leader" for us to need a missile shield: North Korea. Which means that we are spending billions of dollars to stop ONE guy, and the method we've chosen to try to stop him (Magic Laser Beams From Space,) works one out of three times, on a sunny day, IF the attacking missiles have built-in radio transponders.
