'''Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat''' is a musical written by [[Andrew Loyd Webber]] and [[Tim Rice]] based on the story of Joseph and his brothers in [[Genesis]]. The play follows the Biblical story but collapses the other brothers' journey into Egypt into one trip. The play also downplays the religious themes in the original story; God is not mentioned at all and the subsequent enslavement of the Israelites in Egypt is ignored.
