Slave Trade Act of 1800

Slave Trade Act of 1800 was an act of Congress that prohibited American citizens from trading in slaves between foreign countries – as, for instance, from Africa to Brazil.

1803 act

The 1800 act was followed up in 1803 by another law which was passed in aid of one or two State laws to restrain the internal slave trade.[1]
