The origin point of human life is the place on Earth where humans originated. There are several different answers given.
Judeo-Christian answer
Jews and Christians believe that humans originated around the area of the Garden of Eden, which is hinted by the mention of the four rivers to be located in Iraq, central Turkey, or even the Transcaucasian.
Evidence for this view
Evidence for Middle Eastern origin point for humanity includes the fact that Mesopotamia, the oldest human civilization, is in the Middle East.
Evidence against this view
Evidence against a west Asian location for the origin of humanity has yet to surface. The closest thing that comes to evidence against a west Asian origin of humanity is primate skeletons from east or south Africa assumed to be related to humans and dated to be several scores (numerically, score means twenty, as in "Four score and seven years ago") of millennia old via radiometric dating.
Evolutionist answer
Evolutionists believe that humans originated in East Africa or South Africa.[1]

Nothing definitive yet. The closest thing that comes to evidence for African origin is primate skeletons from east or south Africa assumed to be related to humans and dated to be several scores of millennia old via radiometric dating.
Evidence against this view
Sumer, the first human civilization founded, is not located inside the continent of Africa.
Shinto answer
Shinto, a Japan-centered religion, holds that the origin point of humanity is Japan.
Evidence for this view
As of January 6, 2020, evidence of Japanese origin of humanity has yet to surface. The closest thing that comes to evidence is Japan's imperial dynasty going back nearly 2680 years via 126 emperors, but here is very little evidence that the first nine existed, removing 563 years from that number. Also, even if the existence of the first nine emperors of Japan (Jinmu to Kaika) was proven, the Shang Dynasty of China (the oldest Chinese dynasty for which there is any evidence) is around one thousand years older than the Japanese monarchy.
Evidence against this view
Evidence against a Japanese origin for humanity is the late date for the founding of Japan (which is traditionally placed in 660 BC but some consider it to be 97 BC) compared to other civilizations being founded over a thousand years earlier than even the traditional date, the first civilization (Sumer) being nearly five thousand miles away from Japan, and the Japanese language containing a j-sound while older languages like Phoenician and Hebrew do not.[2]
