NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is a 2003 spin-off of the JAG television series. This show like its parent was created by Donald Bellisario. The original NCIS franchise is centered on the east coast. Two spin-offs (one centered around Los Angeles and a second around New Orleans) have since been aired.
Actor Mark Harmon in the role of Jethro Gibbs has long been the dominant player on the series. However, after having a leading role for over 18 seasons, that role was brought to an end on October 11, 2021.[1]
