Kerala is a state of India. It is located in the south west and is heavily populated. The population is mostly Hindu but significant portions of the population are Muslim and Christian. The official language is Malayalam; English is widely used.
Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) is Kerala's capital and largest city; Kochi (Cochin) is the second largest city.
