Jeanine Ferris Pirro (born June 2, 1951) is a judge, prosecutor, television host, and former district minister of Westchester County, New York.
Background
Jeanine Ferris was born in Elmira, New York, to Esther "Awad" and Nasser "Leo" Ferris.[2] Pirro interned at the Chemung County District Attorney's office while attending Notre Dame High School, and later attended the State University of New York, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
In 2006, Judge Jeanine was the Republican candidate for attorney general of New York. She was handily defeated by later Governor Andrew Cuomo, a stauch liberal.
Political positions
Pirro strongly supports Donald Trump, as evident in her book Liars, Leakers, and Liberals: The Case Against the Anti-Trump Conspiracy. Being a fiscal conservative, she heavily criticized the Omnibus Bill, calling it a betrayal to Trump and his supporters.[3] However, she is a liberal on some issues, such as gay "civil rights", affirmative action, and gun control.[4] Regarding the issue of abortion, she is "pro-choice" though she also heavily condemned Virginia governor Ralph Northam for refusing to stop infanticide, comparing him to Josef Mengele.[5]
