First Person Shooters (FPS) are a video game genre that involves play from the first person perspective to interact with a 3D environment, and whose main game play mechanic is, as the name would suggest, shooting involving virtual armaments. These games may also sometimes involve activities related to other genres such as Solving Puzzles, and creating things in order to be "well-rounded". The enemies in these games are often virtual people (NPC's) but may sometimes be aliens, robots, or other fictitious entities. One of the more common Game Modes is "Team Deathmatch", whereby the objective is to get the most kills or at least more kills than the other team. In first person shooters, the world is viewed through the eyes of the character. Alternatively, third person shooters are viewed from the back of the character model.
