Wikileaks is a MediaWiki-powered website that publishes documents leaked to them by anonymous sources. These include sensitive government documents. Wikileaks hosts millions of such documents.

Its founder, leftist Julian Assange, has called it "an uncensorable system for untraceable mass document leaking and public analysis."[1]

Cyber Assault

After the release of the U.S. military Iraq files, there have been calls for an electronic offensive against the organization. In August 2010, Pentagon press secretary Geoff Morrell left open the possibility of offensive action against WikiLeaks. In October 2010, Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, sent a note out through Twitter saying: "Another irresponsible posting of stolen classified documents by WikiLeaks puts lives at risk and gives adversaries valuable information." [2] The Washington Times calls Wikileaks "threat to U.S. national security" and "should be treated accordingly." Not only is Wikileaks a threat to our troops on the battlefield, it is a threat to people and families cooperating with the United States. Our enemies are learning how the military operates. Current Wikileak documents are hosted on Amazon.com servers in Ireland and Octopuce servers in France. Earlier in 2010, their servers were located in Iceland.
