Whoopi Goldberg

(left to right:) convicted serial rapist and Democrat megadonor Harvey Weinstein, Obama domestic partner Michael Robinson, and anti-Israel-buzzwords pusher,[1] racist (or at least illitetate extremely ignorant) holocaust rewriter Whoopi Goldberg.[2]

Whoopi Goldberg, born Caryn (pron Karen[3]) Elaine Johnson on November 13, 1955 (age 68),[4] is a celebrated leftist, anti-Semitic actress, comedienne and holocaust denier / rewriter.[5] She won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony Award. Born and raised in New York City, she has married three times. Her first prominent role in acting was in Steven Spielberg's 1985 drama film The Color Purple, where she won a Golden Globe Award for her lead performance. She established herself in a notable acting career through television appearances (including a recurring role in Star Trek: The Next Generation as the USS Enterprise-D's centuries-old humanoid bartender and counselor Guinan) and commercially successful motion pictures.[6] She also plays the main role in the movies Sister Act and Sister Act 2 which are promoting a liberal church. Goldberg recommended Jill Biden, wife of Joe Biden who is not a medical doctor, to become Surgeon General during the CCP pandemic.[7]

As of January 2022 Goldberg was a co-host of The View, replacing another liberal commentator Rosie O'Donnell. Goldberg has publicly proclaimed that the Nazi holocaust was not racially motivated and was just an internal "dispute" among white people.[8] (Indirecly insinuating a cruel lie, as if the 6 Millions men, women and children systematically slaughtered were ever "doing" something against others).

After sort of apologizing, she still doubled down on her malicious rewriting of history.[9] Goldberg argued that Nazis are not inherently racist or motivated by racist views.[10]

It is also related to the erred woke notion that only colored people can be victims of racism, supposedly,[11] combined with the mistaken perception that all Jews are white. While the variety is much larger, wider than that.[12] She was suspended from ABC (only) for two weeks.[13] Whoopi did not take kindly to being exposed,[14] placing the future of the program in doubt.[15]

Insiders insisted that her apology wasn’t enough and demanded that she be fired. Sources told Page Six that staffers and fellow hosts on “The View,” as well as insiders at Disney, were furious.[16] “ABC staffers and Disney Network execs are saying Whoopi went way too far. And board members are not happy with her apology and want a fuller retraction. The word is that Whoopi is in ‘deep s–t,’” said one ABC insider. “Why does Whoopi seemingly get a pass when others don’t? Perhaps this time she won’t. Many at the network — including her fellow hosts — believe Whoopi is too controversial now for the show.” The insider said the situation “isn’t just going to blow over.” Other daytime talk show hosts, like Sharon Osbourne, have previously been fired for arguably far less. “The View” hosts are allegedly up in arms over Goldberg’s controversial comments.

“This will cast a shadow over everything for a while. Even Joy Behar was heard saying backstage that Whoopi is ‘dead wrong’ and may not ever recover from this. Joy found this particularly troubling and couldn’t believe Whoopi wouldn’t stand corrected until she was forced.” According to the insider, others at ABC are “incredulous” and allegedly asking questions like, “How stoned can she be? Her agents are panicking that she may have ruined herself for good,” the source claimed.

Her remarks sparked international backlash on social media, where “#firewhoopi” started trending, plus wide condemnation from the Israeli Consulate General in New York and the Auschwitz Memorial and Anti-Defamation League.[17]

Meghan McCain criticized TV’s ‘Double Standard’ for acceptance of Whoopi Goldberg’s ‘Half-Assed’ apology.[18]

It’s not just the Holocaust that Whoopi Goldberg got wrong - notes columnist:[19]

After making her way back onto television later in 2022, Goldberg accused Sesame Street of racism.[20]

An earlier insensitivity outburst by Whoopi resurfaced of 1993 mocking Jewish women in a "fried chicken" recipe.[21]

In 1994, Whoopi claimed falsely: "I am a Jewish-American princess," she told the newspaper. "That’s probably what bothers people most. It’s not my problem people are uncomfortable with the fact that I’m Jewish."[21] That she stated, as she declared she does not practice any religion. And as known, nor does she have any links to Jewish ethnicity.[12]

Domestic abuse

Whoopi believes that men should be able to hit a woman.[22] Whoopi defended rapper Jay Z after he was caught on video beating singer/songwriter Solange Knowles in an elevator.[23] Whoopi later defended Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice when his wife made allegations of hitting her.[24]

Romani slur re Trump

In March 2023, Whoopi has issued an apology for using a Romani slur on The View she used the term while speaking about Trump and Stormy Daniels hush money 'Gypped' which is a common obscenity used against people of Romani heritage.[25]

On Tim Scott

As Tim Scott announced in May 2023 his GOP Presidential run, Whoopi attacked him. Per Whoopi "Tim Scott has 'Clarence Thomas syndrome,' accused him of using racial 'dog whistle.'"[26]

Personal

Whoopi explained how she adopted her stage name: "I was a bit of a farter. The theatres I was performing in were very small so if you were gassy you had to walk away farting and people would say I was like a Whoopee cushion. I was sometimes quite noisy."[27]

Earlier this week, Whoopi remarked on “The View” that the Holocaust “isn’t about race,” drawing widespread criticism. In the days following, she apologized multiple times, saying on Tuesday’s episode, "Words matter and mine are no exception. I regret my comments, as I said, and I stand corrected."

The cure for her ignorance is education, not a dose of cancel culture.

Under “R” in “The Holocaust Encyclopedia,” a reference work published by Yale University Press, is an eight-page entry on “Racism.” It begins: “The distinguishing characteristic of Nazi Germany was its obsession with race.” Had Whoopi Goldberg glanced at the encyclopedia before last Monday’s discussion on “The View” about the Holocaust and a Tennessee school board’s decision to reject the renowned graphic novel “Maus,” perhaps she wouldn’t have insisted so vociferously that the Holocaust wasn’t about race. Of course, no one expects panelists on “The View” to bone up by reading encyclopedias. But Goldberg didn’t even open “Maus” before going on TV to talk about it. If she had, she might have read the book’s very first words — a single sentence on a page by itself, a quote from Hitler: “The Jews are undoubtedly a race, but they are not human.”

Every year or so, a new study reveals that a large percentage of Americans know little or nothing about the Holocaust. Goldberg’s cluelessness is not atypical. It blew up into such a big story only because she is a TV celebrity with an audience in the millions. For her grotesque and ahistorical comments — she repeatedly claimed that the German annihilation of 6 million Jews had nothing to do with race and amounted to “white people doing it to white people, so y’all go fight amongst yourselves” — Goldberg was given a two-week suspension. ABC News president Kim Godwin said she was being pulled from the show because of her “wrong and hurtful comments.”

But what she said wasn’t hurtful, it was ignorant. And the remedy for ignorance is education, not a dose of cancel culture, even one as tepid as two weeks off the air.
