Valéry Giscard d'Estaing (February 2, 1926 – December 2, 2020) is a French politician, who was President of France from 27 May 1974 to 21 May 1981.

Despite officially being a member of a right-of-center party, Giscard promoted globalist and socially liberal policies during his presidency.[1]
