Vaccine passports developed in some liberal states, most notably New York, is an attempt to limit travel by people who declined or have not received a COVID-19 vaccine. They are intended to enable the general public to easily determine whether each individual has been vaccinated, so that those who have not been, can be ostracized.
The Republican states of Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Arizona have all banned vaccine passports.
