Cato

I wonder whether you'd be interested in creating a page on Cato? He's quite an important figure in the Divine Comedy, which is why I'm personally keen to have an entry for him, but I don't know much about him as a historical figure, whereas you seem to have some expertise in ancient history.--CPalmer 08:01, 23 October 2008 (EDT)

Also, nobody seems to have welcomed you yet, so welcome to Conservapedia!

Thanks for the welcome, but which Cato was it? Cato the younder, or Cato the Younger as they were both very important historically in different ways.
I'm afraid I'm not sure. I do know that the one I'm talking about committed suicide, if that narrows it down.--CPalmer 11:04, 23 October 2008 (EDT)
That would definitely be Cato the Younger who killed himself after the defeat of his forces by Caesar during Caesar's removal of opposition to his rule.
That certainly rings a bell. I expect articles on both Catos would be beneficial here (though there is much else to do as well, of course).--CPalmer 11:11, 24 October 2008 (EDT)
I'll see when I can fit it in. So far my abiliy to access my research notes is limited, so my entries are not up to snuff for me.

Muslims

You just want to discount Obama ties to Muslims. You keep posting arguements that he is not and I am unconvinced. I post arguments that are reasonable and you discount it all. Does that make you right and me wrong or the opposite? You can't convince me and vice-versa. 90% of Muslims voted for Obama. I can see your response already, it's because they liked him not because he was Muslim. --Jpatt 12:35, 12 November 2008 (EST)

If they knew he were a muslim you can be sure there'd be alot more of them saying so. Particularly after the election. Have you considered that they might of voted for Obama because Palin was way too right wing Christian for them? EternalCritic 12:38, 12 November 2008 (EST)

In any case, he's not hostile toward Muslims, as are some Christian leaders. You know the type: they go around saying, "Jesus is not Allah", as if this invalidates all of Islam. I'd rather have Islam than communism. --Ed Poor Talk 12:44, 12 November 2008 (EST)

I'm not arguing that he's hostile towards muslims at all. I simply find the argument that he is one on the far side of reality. EternalCritic 12:49, 12 November 2008 (EST)
