Useful links

Welcome!

Hello, Dustygram, and welcome to Conservapedia!

We're glad you are here to edit. We ask that you read our Editor's Guide before you edit.

At the right are some useful links for you. You can include these links on your user page by putting "{{Useful links}}" on the page. Any questions--ask!

Thanks for reading, Dustygram!

You can't upload an image directly, but if you have the link to an image, you can give it to an administrator and he can upload it.----Nathan (talk) 19:21, 20 May 2017 (EDT)

How do I contact an administrator? Dustygram

Go to his user talk page - I've linked to one above, where it reads "an administrator," click "Add Topic," type in "Image request" or something like that into the topic bar, and write below a URL and "Could you upload this image for the ... article?" and sign it with four tildes. The tildes will make the "--Nathan (talk) 11:44, 21 May 2017 (EDT)" thing appear like it does for other comments.----Nathan (talk) 11:44, 21 May 2017 (EDT)
Can you go ahead and find one, in the Public Domain or under a Creative Commons license?. Here are some good sources:
The first two are my favorites. If you can find a good one, just get me the link and I'll upload it. If this is all confusing, or you have any questions, please just say so! --David B (TALK) 00:20, 24 May 2017 (EDT)
Thank you David B. Here is one from WikiMedia Commons: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:John_Fleming_113th_Congress.jpg. --Dustygram (talk) 19:16, 24 May 2017 (EDT)
That looks perfect! I've uploaded it as File:John Fleming 113th Congress.jpg. Now if you don't mind just updating it on the page, that should finish this up. Anything else I can do to help? --David B (TALK) 19:31, 24 May 2017 (EDT)
Thank you! I see that you have done that, but how do I update it to the page? Dustygram (talk) 19:41, 24 May 2017 (EDT)
In this case, you would go edit the page John Fleming. At the top of that page's code, there is a template. One of the variables in that template is "image" (third line down). After the equals sign, you would just replace the only image name ("Johnfleming.jpg‎") with the new one (leaving out the "File:" prefix). Then save it, and you should see the updated image there. If you are not sure you've done it right, you can also use the "Preview" tab at the top of the edit box before you save it. I've done it for you, but here is the change if you want to take a look. If you haven't edited wikis before, I know there is a lot to learn. I hope this makes sense. --David B (TALK) 19:50, 24 May 2017 (EDT)
Thanks again! --Dustygram (talk) 20:34, 24 May 2017 (EDT)
