== My Wiki style ==
+

+
Here I explain some of my Wiki editing style and why I do what I do. This is my opinion on how it should be done, but there's no right nor wrong here—it's just my opinion.
+

+
'''I put space around headings''': I put a space between the equals signs and text at each end of a heading ({{tt|<nowiki>== Heading ==</nowiki>}}, not {{tt|<nowiki>==Heading==</nowiki>}}), and (normally) a blank line above and below a heading. The software produces the same results whether you do this or not, but it helps a little with clarity and that is the way that the software does it if you click the "+" tab at the top of a talk page. Removing the spaces once they are there does not save space, I presume, because any saving in byte size of that article is swamped by the extra record(s) created in the database for that edit.
+

+
'''I break up blocks of text''': On article pages, I usually prefer to put every sentence in a separate edit-window paragraph. Ordinary paragraphs without a blank line between them (this doesn't work with paragraphs started with colons, asterisks, or hashes) are run together into the same paragraph by the software anyway, so it makes no difference to the displayed page. But it makes the diffs smaller and simpler (and possibly saves database space?) when editing the page, especially when changing the order of sentences around. And if a paragraph has a lot of references, which are usually at the ends of sentences, it helps a little when reading the source to start new sentences on new lines. I don't specially break break up existing paragraphs written by others, but will sometimes break them up a bit when I'm doing other editing.

== Muddled thinking ==
+

+
An anti-creationist comment on a blog, apparently under the self-delusion that this demonstrates something odd about creationist thinking. I think it says more about ''his'' thinking, or lack thereof!
+
{{QuoteBox|So, creationists claim that fossil evidence does not support evolution, but then they use fossil evidence to support creationism. I needed a good laugh to start off the day.}}
+

+
----
+

+
Another web-site, despite at times saying complimentary things about me, twisted my comments [http://www.conservapedia.com/index.php?title=Talk:School_prayer&diff=399475&oldid=399211 here], wherein I said
+
{{QuoteBox|You say that school prayer "...would leave out in the cold most Hindus, by implying that there was only one God", but don't explain what is wrong with this. To put it another way, what is wrong with a teacher telling the truth by saying that there is one God?}}
+
...to be "paraphrased" as me saying...
+
{{QuoteBox|How could anyone possibly object to people telling Hindus that their beliefs are [deleted]? Obviously my irrational superstitions are correct, and it is imperative that everyone understand this.}}
+
It would seem that the Really Weird people of that site consider it unacceptable for a Christian to put their views, for fear of offending someone with different views. Yet members of this same web-site obviously have no qualms about rubbishing ''my'' beliefs (and note, not just claiming that I'm incorrect, but in a derogatory way), by name-calling and straight-out insults, such as:
+
* "PJR is a [deleted] idiot---i've alway said it, and always will. I don't give a flying [deleted] how amiable he is, he's an inflexible dolt." [Despite "always" saying it, this same person thought that I was a good choice for Conservapedia sysop<!-- talk archive 1 -->—PJR]
+
* "nutcase"
+
* "despicable anti-science zealot"
+
The hypocrisy is astounding. But then what should you expect from atheists and their kind? Truth and fairness have no foundation in atheistic beliefs (and even Richard Dawkins agrees with that).

I think it's going further than Don DeYoung to say that Velikovsky "rejects the Bible". Rejects the miraculous aspect, yes, but not the Bible per se. Velikovsky accepted much more of the history of the Bible than many other non-Christians.
