Message to Conservapedia editors
As long as you are here to make POSITIVE contributions to Conservapedia, you will find me easy to get along with. We're building an encyclopedia here and we need your help.
Don't just complain on the talk pages. You're an editor... make the changes (if the article is not protected)
(see below for clarification).
These Deletions are Good
- NOTE - Liberals, this does not mean you call something you disagree with a parody, and then delete it. If I see you do this, the edit will be reverted and you will be blocked.
Troublemakers
I have been editing on Conservapedia over a year, and I've seen my share of vandals and troublemakers. I want to be very clear on how I deal with negative behavior.
- Don't try and enforce rules on other editors. If I see you bullying other editors and causing trouble, you will be blocked.
- I don't like fact tags. If you see something that is not sourced, go find a reference yourself. If you have made a reasonable effort to find a source and were unsuccessful, mention that in the article's talk page. We're building an encyclopedia here, not just adding fact tags and creating work for others.
These Deletions are Wrong
- Deleting edits you don't agree with. This is a conservative, Christian encyclopedia. You don't get to delete edits that you don't agree with (with or without fact tags). If I see you do this, the edit will be reverted and you will be blocked.
I tolerate liberals on Conservapedia because they give us good examples of how liberals act. Sometimes they even make positive contributions to Conservapedia.
I have liberal friends outside of Conservapedia and usually we can "agree to disagree".
If you're not a troublemaker, then the rest of this section doesn't apply to you.
If you're here to cause trouble or whine about the liberal articles, you should read the rest of this section.
- I have NO tolerance for vandals to Conservapedia. You will get no warning before I ban you.
- The standard definition of vandalism applies on Conservapedia.
- Anti-American edits are not allowed in Conservapedia. This is NOT an NPOV site. CP is pro-American, pro-conservative and pro-Christian. Inserting Anti-American edits is considered vandalism.
- Never revert the actions of an administrator. The proper course is to ask the admin to explain his reversion - not reverting it. Reverting an admin's changes is considered vandalism.
- You will be banned if I see a username that is not appropriate. Use your first name and last initial.
- Troublemakers / Whiners / MYOB
- You knew when you signed up to edit on Conservapedia that this is a conservative, Christian encyclopedia. Don't come here trying to enforce rules, deleting stuff you don't like, picking fights with editors / administrators, whining on the talk pages, etc. If I determine you're here to cause trouble and / or whine, you will be blocked.
- Of course, MYOB means "Mind Your Own Business".
- If you see another editor get banned and you rush to their defense - You will receive a 1 day ban if I ban another user and you "tattle" to another sysop or post your tattle to other talk pages.
- If you're not an administrator and you warn other editors about being blocked - You will receive a 3 day ban for being a troublemaker.
- After you return from your block, you should concern yourself with improving Conservapedia or your next block will be longer.
- The Administrators are the final authority for deciding what should and should not be deleted on CP. Some articles will NOT be deleted - no matter what your liberal heart desires. If you add the {{Delete Notice}}, your edit will be reverted. If you revert my edit, you will be blocked.
- Do you realize that Conservapedia is a conservative website? Do you have Conservaphobia? You should not be surprised to see a conservative analysis here. We are not going to have a NPOV. As a conservative, I am happy Conservapedia exists as an alternative to Wikipedia. I prefer a conservative bias.
