Universal Commerce Group (UCG) is an International Internet Holding, that owns and manages more than 25 projects in such areas as e-commerce, recruitment, real estate, price comparison, health care, fashion industry and digital media[1]. It specializes in lead generation through search engine, price comparison websites, and marketplaces. The main business area is the development of technological solutions in the field of e-commerce from money transferring to selection of goods in the B2B and B2C sectors.

Universal Commerce Group was founded in 2012 by the group of Ukrainian entrepreneurs and businessperson.

History

An idea of creating of the project group (later - Universal Commerce Group) belongs to Ukrainian entrepreneur and businessman Gennadiy Vasyukov[2].

In 2012, to implement the idea, it was decided to merge with the Investment fund Maxima Group (later Noosphere), that was managed an all-Ukrainian information online catalogue of goods and services Price.ua[3] , as well as services Avtomax.ua and Krysha.ua (search engines for cars and real estate) at that time.

In 2012, Andrey Bronetsky, General manager of the popular dating websites Mamba.ru, joined the UCG Supervisory board Members Committee. In early 2012, led by Bronetskiy, the Holding had bought out the Aport.ru[4] domain from VimpelCom for 150 thousand dollars, which was in 170 times less than the amount paid to Golden Telecom in 2000[5]. Later, the project was redesigned from a search engine into an electronic trading platform.

For the further development of the Internet Holding, in 2014 it was decided that Universal Commerce Group would be headed by Yulia Marishchuk - former head of Allegro Group Ukraine[6].

November 1, 2014 Universal Commerce Group launched a new project Prosto.ua - an all-Ukrainian universal trading platform for e-commerce[7].

At the end of 2014, Andrei Bronetsky resigned from UCG Supervisory board, selling his stake.

In 2016, Universal Commerce Group launches a CPA network for UCGLeads webmasters[8].

In 2017, Victor Kompaneets, former head of Digital Future's investment division, took over as Universal Commerce Group's Development Director[9].

Services

Universal Commerce Group develops a trend in Big data functionality, which involves creating predicative mathematical models, marketing research, consultant in the field of Infrastructure-based development and working with large data sets methodology. In addition, the company's portfolio includes the development of database management system based on its own solution.

UCG main projects: Price.ua[10] (second-largest price comparison aggregator in Ukraine), Aport.ru[11] (product aggregator covering almost the entire territory of Russia), Trud.com[12] (job aggregator, aimed on Russian and Ukrainian markets), NaidiDom.com (target service of announcement s about buying, selling and rent of real estate all around Russia), Modasto[13] (fashion aggregator), Vcene (young marketplace operating in Ukraine), DocGuru (health care search service).
