The United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is the United States government's principal agency for protecting the health of all Americans and providing essential human services, especially for those who are least able to help themselves.[1] President Barack Obama nominated former Senator Tom Daschle, but Daschle withdrew due to tax problems. Tom Price, a conservative, served as the HHS Secretary until resigning in September 2017.
