Triple Alliance

The Triple Alliance was an alliance between Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy prior to World War I. Alliances of that time period are considered to be one of the many reasons that the war occurred. When World War I did break out, Italy did not honor the alliance and instead chose to remain neutral.
