Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council

Tony Perkins heads the Family Research Council, a pro family organization supporting conservative Christian ideology. He has held the post since 2003. The Family Research Council split off from Focus on the Family run by James Dobson in 1992 in order to take more political stands. Perkins attended Liberty University founded by Jerry Falwell and was active in Louisiana politics before accepting his current position.
