I'm not sure this template should be put on every page that it links to.

[[Cerberus]] is a good example: he's got a ''reasonably'' important role in the Inferno, but that's far from what he's best known for. I think he merits a link from this navigation box, but I don't think the box should be on his page - if there was a 'mythical beasts' template, that would be far more suitable. The Divine Comedy connection can be recognised by a brief mention in the page text and by putting him in category:Divine Comedy, but having the navigation box as well seems like unnecessary clutter.

I'd suggest only including the navigation box on pages whose subjects are ''primarily'' associated with the Divine Comedy, eg the Comedy itself, Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso, major characters and so forth.

Revision as of 11:23, October 31, 2008

Just a note to say that although I created this, I'm not precious about it. It's the first time I've made a template, so if people want to make prettier or more logical, please go ahead.--CPalmer 08:58, 21 October 2008 (EDT)

Where to use this template

I'm not sure this template should be put on every page that it links to.

Cerberus is a good example: he's got a reasonably important role in the Inferno, but that's far from what he's best known for.

I'd suggest only including the navigation box on pages whose subjects are primarily associated with the Divine Comedy, eg the Comedy itself, Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso, major characters and so forth.

Please let me know what you think - I'll wait before acting.--CPalmer 07:23, 31 October 2008 (EDT)
