Uh, does a page on treason really deserve to be under the category:liberals? --JohnathonRH 17:31, 12 October 2008 (EDT)

I think it was added as a joke. I took it out, but I might be wrong. LiamG 17:50, 12 October 2008 (EDT)

Rosenbergs

  • The decision not to charge the Rosenbergs with treason may stem from the fact the Cold War remained latent, instead of being formally declared by Congress. This would mean that the definition of "enemies" is actually more problematic than that of any other word in the Constitution's treason clause, since the Rosenbergs undoubtedly adhered to the Soviet Union and gave it 'aid and comfort'.

Actually, the Rosenbergs crime occurred while the US were allies with the Soviet Union fighting a common enemy - Hitler. They were executed during the Korean War when USSR was supplying and training North Korea and Americans were dying. Given the context, the Rosenbergs are a poor example for the point the article is trying to make. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 02:19, 26 June 2018 (EDT)
