I am new to this and this is my first contribution, sorry if I don't know exactly how to word it. I decided to make this article because I came across the concept and cannot believe that this fits into God's intention for the world. One of the most clear and famous Biblical stories simply contradicts it. God's command that a male and female of each animal be put on the ark is clear, and is proof enough for me or anyone else that both must be present for any kind of reproduction. As I understand it, this is just another drop in the bucket of lies coming from liberal secular sciences to discredit Christianity and promote atheism. I would even go so far as to say that this "theory" may even be an attempt to discredit the significance of the virgin birth of Jesus. - Your edits have been deleted because they amounted to speculation without back up. First, it's a fact that parthenogenesis happens with a few species of plants and animals, but they are just a few. The vast majority of plants and animals cannot do that. Further, there are one-celled animals such as ameobas which reproduce by splitting up; no male/female involved at all. Second, God created everything, including the few animals and plants that can accomplish the parthenogenesis.
- Go ahead and explain the science involved with this study, including the animals involved. Document the history of it, who first postulated the idea, etc. Then explain the limits: why no scientist can observe a single mammal doing it. Mammals, according to science, include man, which makes parthenogenesis impossible. Unless you add God to the mix, which makes the virgin birth of Jesus Christ all the more unique.
