Textus Receptus

I notice that the article doesn't currently mention Textus Receptus. The preface to NKJV states that it is a translation of Textus Receptus.[1] Other modern Bibles use the Critical Text, so NKJV an outliner in this respect. "Very few scholars still favor the Textus Receptus as such," according to the preface. So it seems that the translators themselves had decidedly mixed feelings about this approach. For all the grief they get about this issue, it's probably just boasting anyway. It looks like all they really did was update the language in KJV. In any case, the article should certainly say something about this issue. PeterKa 11:27, 5 January 2014 (EST)
