Good work, Desmonduk. The problem we have in the US is deciphering credible sources from the UK, as the UK has a more controlled media than what we have here in the US. My take on the mysterious Mifsud
He's an Arab expert whose area of concentration is the Mediterranean, Middle East, Indian Ocean and Pakistan, and Russian interests in those areas. He is not particularly interested in European or American politics. He was a respected high-level Western intelligence operative. He's a leftist, who shared with Donald Trump a desire for improved relations with Russia.
A theory: Brennan, along with UK intelligence, wanted to do away with Papadopolous, Mifsud, and Trump. Mifsud may have been set up just like Papadopoulos. He doesn't appear to be a willing participant in the collusion hoax. The New Cold Warriors, Brennan, Dearlove, et al, and other slaves of the military industrial complex wanted to get rid of anyone from policy making positions who did not advocate a hardline toward Russia.
Natural gas contracts are more at the root of this controversy, and the status of Turkey as a NATO partner/energy producer.

This article says both:
Mifsud however was not arrested and charged after four days of questioning by Mueller in the United States in February 2017.
and
