Criticism

I plan on expanding upon the criticism section in this article. -- Jose83

I'm no expert, but I don't think hip hop and rap are synonymous. HelpJazz 15:18, 3 January 2008 (EST)

Hip hop culture is an umbrella underwhich rap falls along with graffiting, baggy clothes, etc. Luke 15:22, 3 January 2008 (EST)

All I know is I have some excellent hip-hop cds (remixes of old jazz standards!) and I haven't found any pure rap I can really stand. Guess that's not a very good source for an encyclopedia though. HelpJazz 15:30, 3 January 2008 (EST)

Why are my edits being reverted? I thought this place was about not censoring the facts. -- Jose83

I would expect to see these kind of edits on the Landover Baptist website, not CP... 10px Fox (talk|contribs) 17:34, 3 January 2008 (EST)
I didn't see facts, but unattributed opinion. Check out my favorite rule. HelpJazz 17:36, 3 January 2008 (EST)
I can attribute each statement as well as provide references. To say that some rap promotes violence is NOT an opinion. It is FACT. To say that rap promotes the breaking of these commandments is NOT opinion. It is FACT. Anyone who has listened to Gangsta rap before knows this (I used to, but I'm a changed man). I am livid at the moment and am in no condition to continue writing until later. I'll discuss this at that time. -- Jose83
Literature, movies, even the Bible! promote violence ("And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of G-d, that ye may keep your own tradition. For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free. And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; Making the word of G-d of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye." (Mark 7:9-13)) Setting up articles to then apply your interpretation of Scripture or "WWJD" to them is frankly insulting. I am inclined to think you are a parodist, deliberately trolling and subtley making a mockery of us conservapedians. If you are not, your judgement is seriously skewed. 10px Fox (talk|contribs) 17:56, 3 January 2008 (EST)
I'd expect this kind of BS at wikipedia, but not here. If you want to deliberately skewer and censor the facts to make it seem like rap is wholesome Christian music, you are free to do so, but I will have no part of it. The fact that you are so eager to defend perverted artforms such as Heavy Metal and Rap makes me think you yourself indulge in the sinful past-time. You cannot be a man of god and listen to these abominations. Light and darkness simply do not mix. And to compare the violence in hip hop to the Bible is simply disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself. Violence in the Bible is justified while in Hip Hop it is always committed over trivial things (such as "hos" and "bitches") Maybe you are one of these "hos" or "bitches" that all the rappers are killing each other over. Such a comparison to the bible should really make you question how genuine your faith in God truly is and you should possibly inquire about a move to wikipedia where your lack of faith will be greeted with open arms and legs. I will not be contributing here anymore as long as you censor legitimate facts and slander the Bible.
