Talk:Atheism and obesity

2,119 bytes added, 00:18, January 2, 2020
In 2015, Richard Dawkins published a YouTube video where he told an obviously overweight Daniel Dennett who recently had coronary artery bypass surgery, "It is amazing seeing you so fit...". Sad!
Given Conservapedia's dedication to providing information that is as accurate as possible, I'm sure that someone in control of this article will make the necessary corrections. Thanks in advance. --Tylero 16:54, 6 January 2011 (EST)
::::Fixed. I wrote: While many Western atheists are non-religious, not all non-religious people are atheists. I did this to avoid the contentious debate on whether Western atheism is a religion. I believe it can be easily argued that Western atheism is a religion and that is probably going to be incorporated in the atheism article at a future date. User: JamesTimmons, the article has been expanded and now looks at regional data (irreligious countries), generational data and a number of studies related to religion/irreligion obesity/health/behavior (self-discipline, etc.). In addition, the list of notable atheists who are overweight/obese has been greatly expanded. There is now an embarrassment of riches showing that the atheist/irreligious population has a significant problem with obesity/excess weight.Conservative (talk) 11:08, 2 March 2019 (EST)

I just read through nearly half of this article and fact-checked every claim it made, and there wasn't so much as one single error. To whoever the authors are, this is quite the article!--AnthonyDW 18:27, 19 January 2011 (EST)
:Martin Luther, the founder of Protestantism, tacked his 95 thesis onto the doors of the Castle Church in Wittenberg. Conservapedia has its list of 82 prominent overweight/obese atheists plus it provided multiple lines of evidence that the atheist population has a significant problem of obesity within its ranks!!!!! These 82 prominent atheists are prominent both in stature within the atheists population and prominent in girth as well! And this is despite the fact that atheists have no holiday season that features eggnog and cookies. Wikignome72 (talk) 04:31, 25 December 2019 (EST)

::::PHARISEES: One way the Pharisees attacked Jesus was by calling him a glutton. Do you think they were right or justified to do so? How do your accusations of gluttony, used to attack atheists and homosexuals, differ from the Pharisees' attacks on Jesus, if at all? What do you think was the Pharisees' basis for being against gluttony? Would it have been scriptural? Would it have been justified? How would it have differed, if at all, from your own scriptural basis? Is it possible that you have followed the same process as the Pharisees in arriving at your own views about gluttony?--CPalmer 08:16, 3 July 2012 (EDT)

:As far as the sin of gluttony, it is a sin. A sin is a big deal to God. That is why Jesus dies on the cross. And unrepentant sinners will go to Hell.
