The Srebrenica massacre was the slaughter of some over 2,000 Bosnian Muslims (Bosniaks)Cite error: Closing </ref> missing for <ref> tag

After the war, Bosnia formally accused Serbia of genocide, claiming that Serbian forces assisted in the massacre. This led to an indictment against commander Mladić by the International Criminal Court and International Court of Justice[1] The court further ruled that the Srebrenica massacre was indeed an act of genocide.[2] It should be noted, however, that Serbia was never found guilty of genocide; they were found to have not taken enough action to stop the genocide from occurring.
