Introduction

The Seventh-Day Adventist Church, was founded in large part by Ellen White, having grown out the Sabbatarian movement of William Miller. The church professes 28 fundamental beliefs which it sees as being based on the Bible, which it holds is the only basis of its faith for the Christian, though historically it greatly reverences the teaching of Ellen G. White. As it holds beliefs contrary to the majority of historical Christian faith, principally regarding the seventh day sabbath and the state of the deceased, a continuing controversy exist as to whether it is Christian or cult, with many holding it is fundamentally heterodox.[1][2][3][4]
