Selim the Grim

Selim I (also known as Selim the Grim) (c. October 10, 1470 – September 22, 1520) was the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1512 to 1520. He practiced Sunni Islam and is best noted for his battles against the Shi'a empire, Safaid.
