Samsung is a global corporation based in South Korea that specializes in many areas, generally related to technology. It was first founded on March 1, 1938 in Taegu, Korea by founding chairman Byung-Chull Lee.

Samsung Electronics, which is a division of the Samsung Group, is currently one of the top global providers of semi-conductor technology. Samsung is known for copying it's competitors' designs and ideas. This has lead to legal conflicts including multiple instances of Apple suing Samsung[1][2]
