Ronald V. Dellums (1935 – 2018) was a socialist and Democrat who served thirteen terms as a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from California's 9th Congressional District from 1971 to 1998, after which he worked as a lobbyist in Washington, D.C. From 2007 to 2011 Dellums was Mayor of Oakland.

By aligning with Colorado congresswoman Patsy Schroeder, the two facilitated the feminist takeover of the civil rights movement.[1]
