Robert Marion LaFollette, Sr. (1906-1925) was a Republican American politician. He represented Wisconsin in the United States House of Representatives (1885-1891) and in the U. S. Senate (1906-1925), and served as governor of Wisconsin (1901-1906). After failed bids for the Republican nomination for president of the United States in 1912 and 1916, LaFollette ran in 1924 as the candidate of the Progressive Party, winning 17% percent of the popular vote nationwide and Wisconsin's 13 electoral votes.
