Richard Boone (June 18, 1917 – January 10, 1981) was a Western actor who played as Paladin from Have Gun, Will Travel. He played in other conservative standpoint movies such as The Robe (as Pontius Pilate) and The Hobbit (as Smaug). He was also a World War II Navy veteran and Republican, who died of throat cancer.
